Mark Ritson is a brand consultant and former marketing professor. He has a PhD in Marketing and taught on the MBA programmes of leading business schools including London Business School and MIT. He has written a column on marketing for almost 20 years, winning the PPA Business Columnist of the Year three times.

In this applied, entertaining and occasionally off-topic presentation, Mark Ritson presents a list of the 20 most common marketing concepts and ranks them on a value scale from most over-rated to the most under-rated concept. In his talk, he zooms into the list and explains some of his decisions.

By the end of the talk, you’ll be left in no doubt, quite frankly, what Mark recommends marketers spend their time focusing on to achieve marketing success.
